김현구는 정치색이나 사상과는 거리를 둔 순수 서정시를 지향했다. 따라서 그는 작품 속에서 서정성을 바탕으로 하여 자연과 인생에서 느낀 감정을 부드럽게 표현하고 있다. 수록된 시들을 바탕으로 그의 문학적 특징을 살펴볼 수 있다.

Kim Hyun-gu aimed for a pure lyric poem that was far from political color and thought. Therefore, he gently expresses the feelings he felt in nature and life based on lyricism in his work. His literary characteristics can be examined based on the poems included.

저자소개

김현구(1904~1950)는 일제강점기 시대에 활동했던 시인이다. 전라남도 강진 출신으로 배재고등보통학교와 일본에서 수학한 경력을 가지고 있다. 1930년 10월에 발간된《시문학(詩文學)》에《임이여 강물이 몹시도 퍼렇습니다》《물에 뜬 갈매기》《거룩한 봄과 슬픈 봄》《적멸(寂滅)》등 4편을 동시에 발표하면서 문단에 등장하였다.

Kim Hyun-gu (1904-1950) was a poet who was active during the Japanese colonial era period. Born in Gangjin, Jeollanam-do, he studied at Baejae High School and Japan.
